Azizi, here Tuesday expressed hope that he will play an effective role in national team`s World Cup qualifier against Jordan.
Azizi, who rejoined the national squad after three years told IRNA he is determined to give a positive response to trust the technical
committee placed in him.
He said Jordan is not at all of Iran caliber and the country`s team will prove it in Amman.
"I have no problem with teammates and officials," said the veteran striker of Pas, adding, "I have returned to serve the
nation."
Eyeing a place in 2006 World Cup finals in Germany, Croat manager Branco Ivankovic at last summoned Khodadad Azizi for the deciding
qualifying match.
Bayern Munich`s new signing Vahid Hashemian, who had already rejected various invitations from the Croat coach and Football
Federation officials has accepted to play for his national side against Jordan.
Against the run of play, Jordan beat Iran 1-0 in the first leg in Azadi Stadium, west of Tehran.
